Working on setting up home in a new yet old part of the country. So much is familiar (like the 30 mph wind), and so much is new (like the arch) and we are working on taking it all in.

Making Dinner
Sunday, March 16, 2014
You might have a 2 year old if...
You tell her to take a nap and she replies, "I can just have a cup of coffee." Of course this means she heard it somewhere and there is no coffee addiction in this family.
You offer the 2 hour Keirra Knightly version of Pride and Prejudice and she informs you certainly that that movie is not Pride and Prejudice. When asked where Pride and Prejudice is, she holds up the 6 hour BBC version.

Ides of March
Our Ides of March is definitely turning out to be a windy day. We aren't super cold, but super windy. It is really sunny but not calm enough to put diapers out to bleach in the sun. We don't really want to go to the park because of how windy it is. Instead of going to the park, while everyone napped, I finished the binding on the Dr. Seuss quilt A and I have been working on for G.
Since it was spring break this past week, Chris and A made a pink lightsaber. A helped a lot actually. Now to get Chris a lightsaber so they can duel is the next step.
Thursday we went to the doctor for G's 4 month check-up. He is doing well. He weighed in at 14 pounds 4 ounces and a whopping 25 inches long. All developmental take are on track as we are rolling over with the best of them. Everything goes into G's mouth, including his toes since his toes are about his favorite things.
Well I'm going to corral an almost 3 year old so I hope your day is good.

Doing Laundry
We do laundry. We do a lot of laundry to be exact. While we have two kids, neither is particularly messy, we still have a washer and dryer going at least twice a day. We also have diapers to do, but at that point it is more of a time issue than anything else. We still haven't had to buy diapers. If I were willing to send more than one kind of diaper to day school we could go the better part of a week between diaper washes. I'm honestly not sure if that would be good for the diapers though so they get washed every other day.
With washing comes folding and putting away clothes. For our system to work we fold in the living room and then distribute clothes to the appropriate place. This is A's favorite part as she gets to help push the baskets and run up and down the hallway.
This picture shows our favorite load of laundry to do. Typically it gets put on a gentle cycle with warm water. Towel dry if you can.

You might be a sucker if...
Your daughter has been told, "Not much movie time tonight." When she says, "Daddy can we watch Star Wars?" and you cave. Said daughter has also asked for a pink light saber, so we have a new project for Spring Break. She even does well and asks questions about what the different planes and animals are. Chris says,"Do you want to watch Star Wars because daddy is a sucker?" and she shakes her head yes. Apparently Empire is her favorite though she really likes the Ewoks.
We've got clear eyes and so far only she has had pink eye in our family. I imagine half of her class will either be out our using eye drops tomorrow. When I went to feed G on Friday two others from her class were sent home.
Things continue to be rather stressful with our jobs. We are both trying to keep a good balance, but it is driving us both kind of nuts.
Anyway, dishes are calling since there is Star Wars talk going on all around me.
